You will identify several common types of difficult people and learn strategies for effectively managing difficult people, de-escalating aggressive behavior, and having difficult conversations.

 

About the Presenter

Dr. Peggy Mitchell Norwood is a clinical psychologist and mental health consultant, as well as an ordained minister and former psychology professor. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brown University, and her M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Virginia.

An active mental health advocate, Dr. Norwood has previously served on the Colorado state board of the National Association on Mental Illness (NAMI) and as an executive officer for the Virginia and Denver-Rocky Mountain chapters of the Association of Black Psychologists and currently serves on the Board of Overseeers for Global Change Network, USA and Christian Vocational Training School.

Dr. Norwood shares her expertise on mental health and wellness weekly on 9News’ Expert Opinion panel, on her own internet radio program, Living Well with Dr. Peg, and as a co-host of KLDC’s A Vision for Your Life. She also writes for Denver’s Five Points News and Body of Christ News, and is the author Do Something Different…For a Change and Doggie Tales: Lessons on Life, Love, and Loss I Learned From My Dog.
